If you were a hockey player and you were offered an job working with Wayne Gretzky would you do it?

If you were a singer and were asked to collaborate with Celine Dion would you do it?

If you were a chef, and had the opportunity to cook with Gordon Ramsay?Would you do it?

Of course you would. Which is why March/April will be my last program for awhile. I will be travelling to the US to spend some time hanging my friends Sarah & John Fragoso, learning the in’s and out’s of running a gym, attending a couple conferences and workshops and seeing all the sites in California!

I have been given the opportunity to learn from 2 people, Sarah and John Fragoso who have been highly influential to me over the last 4 years. Sarah is a best selling Paleo cookbook author ( and John is a well-known Chiropractor. Both have been involved with the strength and conditioning community for a long time and are a wealth of knowledge.

One day back in 2008, I was spending hours a week doing cardio at the Wellness Centre. I love to listen to podcasts while working out- and I had been listening to Jillian Michaels.

I got sick of hearing her, and decided I needed to find a new podcast. I came across a podcast called Everyday Paleo – Sarah’s podcast- and I listened to a couple episodes and really liked the message.

Right around the same time, I watched the documentary Earthlings. Anyone who knows me, knows I really love animals and it crushed me to know how badly animals were treated to become our food.

One of the main reasons why I really liked the concept of Paleo nutrition was the focus on quality meat, sustainable agriculture and humane slaughter practices. Not to mention, the elimination of processed foods helped me significantly with my ADHD.

Long story short- I met Sarah and John last year at Paleo FX, an event in Austin, Texas and I was like trying not to act like such a fan- I mean I had listened to all her podcasts, I have all her cookbooks, I have blog posts from her website printed off in my clipboard for work.

Can’t even imagine 4 years later- I’m in their house, hanging with their amazing family, watching the Bachelor and now I’ll be hanging out with them for the summer learning how to run a gym effectively.

So what this means is that this next program will be my last – When I return, I will be focusing my efforts on opening my gym! I will continue doing my online programs (online fat loss bootcamp, and writing programs for people).
